Recovery - How supplements play a major role
What to do immediately after your workout!
Think about it, you have just invested your precious time and energy into your workout so why not get the most out of it. This way of thinking is important for every workout! Immediately after training is when you need take in a fast-absorbing protein meal and the easiest and fastest way to do this is by having a protein shake.
It's also the best time to have fast-acting carbohydrates (in your shake) . Your body has used up its energy reserves, so what you take in during this 'window of opportunity' will be quickly used up by the body to aid the recovery process, rather than be stored as body fat (as it might at other times). So ladies even if you're watching your carb intake, this is a beneficial time to enjoy a protein shake with Carbs.
We are all about service at Industry, so if you have brought your shaker and protein powder to the club, feel free to ask one of the reception team members to fill it with cold water for you immediately after your workout. But like most of us if you are not quite that prepared don't worry we have you covered! Simply choose a pre-made ice cold shake from the fridge or a shake & take which we can have ready for you in 30 seconds flat and served with a smile. This means we have taken care of your protein recovery needs as you walk out the Industry door. We then suggest for maximum benefit tucking into a good quality meal containing quality lean protein, fibrous carbohydrates (or complex - depending on your goal) and some healthy fats! YUM. |
